Erika L. Schreiber
Coaching, Los Angeles
Erika is an accomplished career consultant and coach, and brings nearly two decades of experience in the legal community. After launching her career as an employment attorney at several prominent Los Angeles firms, Erika decided to combine her longstanding passion for coaching and counseling with her in-depth knowledge of the legal industry. She has held roles as an Associate Director of Career Services at USC Law School, a Senior Recruiting Manager at Paul Hastings and a coach and consultant at a consulting firm, working with attorneys on career transitions and wide-ranging professional development issues. Prior to joining Volta, Erika served as a Managing Director for SJL Attorney Search, residing in the firm’s California office.
In addition to one-on-one coaching and consulting, Erika greatly enjoys public speaking and has presented programs at the The National Association for Law Placement (NALP) Annual Education Conference as well as the NALP/ALI CLE Professional Development Institute (PDI). She has also spoken at events hosted by the Los Angeles Area Legal Recruitment Association (LAALRA), the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (GLA, ALA) and numerous area law schools.
Originally from Northern California, Erika graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from St. Olaf College in Minnesota and earned her JD from the UCLA School of Law. She earned her designation as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) in 2011, and is also certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®).
Away from the office, Erika enjoys finding hole-in-the-wall restaurants, watching television of marginal quality, rooting for the San Francisco Giants and the New York Jets and following the IndyCar Series, which over the years has included many trips to the Indy 500. Erika lives in Burbank with her family.
