My Coaching Philosophy
As a career coach, my coaching philosophy is to provide the attorneys with whom I work the framework for creating a career plan. I lead them through introspection and self-reflection to consider their skills, values and “must-haves.” I then help them analyze their options for both short-term and long-term options. This should be an on-going exercise and my hope is to coach them to make their career planning and career goal setting a regular exercise. So many of us allow our careers to happen, and we don’t take the time to analyze what we want, what makes us happy and where our skills, experience and preferences might lead us. We all need to be proactive about our careers and the opportunities presented to us. Careers are not linear paths and I hope to coach attorneys to consider choices and opportunities and to veer off the path for the right opportunity.
