Brandi Baldwin-Rana, PhD
Founder & CEO, Millennial Ventures

After spending over six years in Education as a Psychology and Business professor, Dr. Baldwin-Rana turned in her grade book and started a new career as an entrepreneur. Today she is a highly sought-after workforce engagement consultant and owner of Millennial Ventures Holding Company, a firm that manages a growing suite of brands focused on developing today's workforce.

Dr. Baldwin-Rana is recognized as a leader in helping companies design employee development programs to develop, engage and retain their top talent. She is currently the Interim CEO of YouAdvise.Me, the flagship brand of her Millennial Ventures firm.

Dr. Baldwin-Rana speaks at over 30 corporations and conferences annually to teach on various topics related to millennials, employee engagement, entrepreneurial leadership and talent development. She was recently appointed from a pool of over 400 professionals to Mayor Jim Kenney's 2017 Millennial Advisory Committee, and was formerly featured as a part of the Philadelphia Business Journal's "People on the Move" campaign in 2015.

Karen Basile
VP Enterprise Learning, Johnson Controls

Karen Basile is the leader of Johnson Controls enterprise learning function. Prior to Johnson Controls’ acquisition of Tyco, she was the Sr. HR Business Partner for sales and leader of Tyco University. Karen’s work involves leading a global learning team in enterprise learning and development programs and curriculum; and promoting sales effectiveness and development. Karen has over 20 years’ experience in learning, talent and HR roles. Previously, Karen was the Talent Management Leader for VWR, a global lab supply and distribution company. She also held the role of global Commercial Learning & Development Leader for General Electric where she was responsible for the global training for sales and marketing across all GE businesses. 

Karen holds a B.S. in Marketing and International Business from Penn State and an M.S. in Organizational Dynamics from University of Pennsylvania. She resides in Wayne, PA with her husband and children.

Ian Connett, Esq.
Legal Director, Collective

Ian Connett, Esq. is the Legal Director of Collective, a major ad-tech company focusing on programmatic advertising and data driven technology. Prior to joining Collective, Ian served as Corporate Counsel of Westcon Group, a $6B global technology distributor, where he oversaw Westcon’s Global Cloud and IT units. Ian is a passionate LegalTech evangelist, speaker and practitioner. In 2016, Ian was named “The Millennial General Counsel” by UpCounsel. Karen Cunningham
Senior Manager, Deloitte Consulting

Karen is a Senior Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Human Capital Power & Utilities practice. She has over 13 years providing strategic advisory services to clients in regulated industries including Oil & Gas and Power & Utilities. Karen specializes in helping organizations realize transformational goals – focusing on Change Management, Communications and Learning & Talent Development. She has had several publications highlighting leading practices in strategic change management and has been recognized with two national awards for her work on employee engagement.

She leads Deloitte Consulting’s national Human Capital Energy & Resources Community in addition to Diversity & Inclusion programs for Energy & Resources practitioners within Consulting. Karen received her Masters of Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelors of Psychology from The Ohio State University.

Mark Schall is a Certified Professional Coach. He trained at iPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching), and is an expert coach, motivational speaker, facilitator and educator specializing in human potential and interpersonal communications.

In addition to offering corporate training seminars, Mark enjoys the wonderful opportunity of being a Lead Instructor for iPEC, one of the top coach training schools in the world. To date he has trained close to 1500 certified coaches around the globe including the US, Canada and Europe. In all his training classes, whether it be coach trainings or corporate trainings, Mark uses a unique blend of instructional teaching and motivational speaking. For 20 years, he has been speaking and facilitating programs (for groups and individuals) on many sensitive organizational, interpersonal and personal issues, as well as coaching managers, executives and front-line employees at some of the nation's top companies and government organizations. Clients have included Toys 'R' Us, GAP Inc., American Express, Mass Mutual Financial, Lutron Electronics, Kraft Foods, NASA, Bristol Myers-Squibb, the US Department of Health & Human Services and the US Department of Defense. A specialty area of his is the use of live interactive drama and theater as a training tool. 

Mark holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development, and a B.A. in Psychology.

John Paul Vasellina
Talent & Organization Development Manager, Cigna

John is a Learning & Development professional with a diverse background in Talent Development, IT, Workplace Strategy and designing collaborative work environments.

His passion is the growth and professional development of himself and others, and designing best in class employee experiences.

John is currently a Talent & Organization Development Manager at Cigna in Bloomfield, Connecticut and is the founder of WeHa Works, a boutique co-working space in West Hartford, CT (which is mostly now managed using automation and robots).

Prior to Cigna, John worked at Genentech in the San Francisco Bay Area, in roles focused on millennial development, career development, new employee onboarding, the future of work and learning technologies. While at Genentech, he founded NextGen, a diversity group focused on the onboarding and development of employees new to the workforce.

John holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, and a Masters Degree in Organization Development. In addition to his real jobs, John is interested in how “the internet of things”, big data, bio-feedback and automation can make the modern workplace and career experience more efficient, simple and enjoyable.
