Amy has more than two decades of experience working with lawyers as a career coach and advisor. As the Director of Legal Career Services at The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, and before that George Mason University School of Law, Amy helped both law students and alumni navigate every aspect of the job search, from exploring options to negotiating salary. As the Director of Recruiting at Debevoise & Plimpton, Amy managed lawyer recruiting, hiring, and the firm’s summer associate program. She also brings experience of being an independent consultant in the career management and professional development space.

Amy earned a B.A. in Economics and Government and a M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of Virginia. In addition, she is certified to administer and interpret the MBTI® (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) and the Strong Interest Inventory ® (SII) assessments. Amy is also certified in Mental Health First Aid by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.

During her career services and law firm years, Amy was a regular presenter at NALP (National Association for Law Placement) annual conferences as well as WALRAA (the Washington Area Legal Recruitment Administrators Association) and she authored Degrees of Difference: A How-to Guide to Choosing a Law School, published by NALP.
